Web Audio Visuals

I am looking to track the number of times a video that I create is viewed. I can create the movie in Quicktime, Flash, MP3 or any other format commonly done on the web – the key is that I would like to know everytime someone views it whether they are viewing it on YouTube, MySpace, my homepage or a peer-to-peer network.

Is something like this posible? Do any of the codebases allow for a tracking pixel to be embedded that can ping my server every time the video is played?

If you do it in flash you can do this Very easily. You just need it to send a small message to your Website. Other than flash I have no Clue
