yeah it is annoying..and if you’re using internet explorer then this is how you can get rid of it but it will stop you from hearing any sound from internet explorer..
go to internet options and click on the advanced tab, then scroll down till you see ‘Multimedia’ and under it you will find ‘Play sounds in web pages’ just uncheck it and you’re good to go =]

    Yes, go Tools > Internet Options > Advanced, scroll down to Multimedia and uncheck the box that says "play sounds in web pages"
