I made a video with my Kodak camera that I want to email to some friends.
The Kodak camera video format is .MOV .
What video format can most anybody view?
How do I convert the .MOV into that format?

AVI, anyone can view AVI for it’s the MOST standard video format there is. Or WMV if your using Windows and Quicktime if your using Mac. But other than that AVI is the MOST standard.

.MOV is typically Apple Quicktime, which is free to download the player. Most people should have this on their systems already. You can purchase Quicktime Pro, and that will allow you to edit/convert the files. Your camera might have come with video editing software. However, offering Quicktime to people who don’t have it, since it is free, might be the easiest. Conversions take time, and can degrade quality.
Windows Movie Maker might work. I don’t recall if it supports Quicktime files.
VLC should work, and it’s free. http://www.videolan.org (everyone should have this, it is a great player and converts)
AVI, MPG, and WMV are the most popular.
