Unfortunately, far too many people will PCs don’t have quicktime and can’t watch. Is there a format I can convert these files into that will post easily on the web and be visible by someone without Quicktime?

You can try flv (flash) video since they can get the plug-in for free. Your problem is not unique, as there are tons of formats, but no universal yet. The thing is you mention small files.

For that you would like to use divx or H.264 (mp4), which will convert them to small files. The problem is not everyone will have the codec to view them, so you hit another problem.

I would suggest using Windows Media format, as there are more computers with Windows than any other OS. You can shrink the file for the web with Windows Movie Maker.

For quality go for divx and H.264 MP4 which will give you better pic. Let them download the codecs, as many players already have them.

Yes, you can.I have tried it. Trial version of this software generates the videos with a watermark. Anyway, you can still use it for your websites.

You have to good to iPhone compatible sites to view videos on web site. If it’s not an iPhone compatible is most likely using flash to show the video. Flash doesn’t work on the iPhone.
