With web cams how does one record video and audio simultaneously so as to have it end up as a file you can save?

I’m not looking to spend a ton of money, but would like a web cam that does this with at least decent quality. Any suggestions?

You need a cam with a mic built in…i just bought one im really happy with

$30.84
Microsoft VX-5000 LifeCam Webcam

I need to download some audio files off of a web page, but I don’t want to download them one at a time. Are there any extensions or other programs that can help me with this problem?

I see a lot of extensions and I have not seen a Chrome extension that will do what you want…good luck.

I have a web cam built in to my computer with a mic but i apparently deleted the audio device for it so i need somethng i can download so i can record my voice.

It’s a laptop I assume..
You need to go to your laptop’s support site .. (ex. Dell – www.dell.com/support)
then try to look for their Download Drivers section then provide the Model No. of your laptop

there should be a software installer for your built-in webcam on your laptop.

Hope it helps..

Also it lags when I try to adjust the volume on my computer is it because my pc needs to be upgraded this is what I have
ATHLON 1.24 GHZ
1 GB RAM
32 MB Video Card
VISTA BASIC

Seriously… I’d like to know who it is that I need to slap.

Failing that, can anybody tell me how to disable this web-feature from hell?

(In case you don’t know what I mean: Some ads online now have a ‘feature’ that if your mouse crosses over them for even a moment, they play audio… You can’t turn it off, except by leaving the page, and the audio can be half a second, or 3 minutes…)

I hear you! (no pun intended) and those stupid expanding ads should go too

Hey,

I want to save audio files from web dictionaries like encarta, merrium webster or some other…but I am not succeeded in doing so..I want to use these files for my project..Can anybody suggest solution for it?

You can capture the online audio using Sound Recorder available in windows….
Open sound recorder , toggle the record button and play the audio file from the web site, now the audio will be captured by the sound recorder. After playing the audio file on the website … toggle record button and save the audio file…

Windows sound recorder is located at:
Start – Programs – Accessories – Entertainment – Sound Recorder

Well, the title says it all… I really am not favorable with the sound my web cam is capable of recording, soo… any tutorial or ANY HELP WHATSOEVER on how to capture video from a Web Cam and record audio from a microphone at the same time would really be helpful? Also, if anyone knows or has any ideas on how to improve the sound my web cam records, that would also be useful… Cheers, thanks beforehand.

As far as i know, web cam can’t record sound,it just record video. So you need a software to help you to record video and audio at the same time.I have used Capturelib Screen Recorder to capture video and record audio from a microphone at the same time.
Firstly, download the software , install and run it.
Secondly, operat your web cam and open your Mic.
And you can do that!

I have already setup a web page, it is hosted and running. I’ve got an mp3 file linked on that page, however, when anybody clicks the link it plays but doesn’t allow the user to continue viewing the page.

If I want to get the audio to play on a 2nd page, or pop-up page, what should I do?

I was thinking I would need to host a new domain? Then put the mp3 file on that 2nd domain?

Is this correct?

ALSO – If I set up a 2nd domain and put the mp3 file on it, how do I make it so that the viewer clicks the link on Page #1, but it pops up on Page # 2?

PLEASE help! The more detailed the answer, the better!

Thanks!!

No, you definitely don’t need a new domain. If you want something to pop-up in a new window, then add the "target=" clause to your anchor tag. That is, let’s say your link looks like this:

My MP3 file

Add this:
target="_blank"

So that it looks like this:
My MP3 file

and your link will open up in a new window.
