I am studying English as a second language and I use a web dictionary as reference for new vocabulary. Whenever I come across a new word I log on to this web site and find out the meaning of the word, and web site also offers the pronunciation of the word. I would like to download those audio files onto my computer and then transfer them to my voice recorder device, so I will be able to practice whenever I can via my voice recorder.
Thanks in advance

You should try liteRecorder. This records streaming radio or audio from any streaming videos like YouTube. I’ve tried several programs, and I think you should try at least 3-4 and pick the one you like.

If you click on any bottle on this website, a video will play in the background. It kind of looks like a half tone video. I noticed this on a bunch of websites and it seems to make videos load a lot faster. What is it called?

How can I learn to do it?

Adobe Flash CS4 (not the Flash Player) was used to design the website, and includes the JavaScript when published. And yes, Flash Videos do load a lot faster.

At $700 it’s not cheap, but there is a Trial version available:

To learn how to use it, check at local colleges for night courses. And look online for tutorials, or on Amazon for Training Manuals.

I have a lot of videos that I would love to stream on the internet in (basically) the video equivalent of an internet radio stream. How could I do this easily? Thanks.

The best option is to change the videos to FLV and make a web FLV player to play the FLV video on web page.
You can check playerdiy.com – http://www.playerdiy.com/support/tutorial/customize-flash-video-player.html
It can easily make customized Flash video player with playlist for website. Here is the tutorial – http://www.playerdiy.com/support/tutorial/customize-flash-video-player.html

Help on, How to Upload Flash video onto web page?
I have been trying to upload my flash video to my web page but every time I upload the video the video shows up but the buttons don’t. What am I doing wrong? I am also using Front Page. Thank you for your help.
This is my code:

<object classid="clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11CF-96B8-444553540000" id="obj3" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=6,0,40,0" border="0" width="444" height="297">
<param name="movie" value="TNO/TNO Halloween.swf">
<param name="quality" value="High">
<embed src="TNO/TNO%20Halloween.swf" pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" name="obj3" width="444" height="297" quality="High"></object>

use <embed></embed> and <object></object> tags for flash video.

Eg:
<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/lti0nlrT26o&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/lti0nlrT26o&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

I want to may another way to download a streaming video. Most probably, if a video is loaded, it is saved somewhere in the computer. Where exactly is that temporary file saved? It’s not in the temp folder…

Also, WHAT’S its FILE NAME?

Try E.M. Youtube video download tool.
It works great.

It can help u get the video from the temporary file, when u click the click IE or FireFox or Opera.

I have a Windows XP PC with tons of Videos and Audios. I have Orb installed and from my WII connected to my TV I can access all of the videos and audio media from my PC through my Orb account.

There are occasions where I watch streaming video from the web on my PC. I am wondering is it possible to watch such live media through the Orb on my Wii/TV?

Thanks,
Praveen.

it is possible

How do I change video format from 320×240 to 496×368? I have video files in both Quicktime and Windows Media Player Format. I want to upload this video to the internet, but the website has specific criteria of 496×368. I have Window Movie Maker 2.0 and Quick Video Converter software. What should I use to convert the video format? And can you give me step-by-step directions.
I tried what you said, but when I get to the Video Compression Box I have the following options:

Cinepak Codec by Radius
Logitech Video (1420)
Intel Indeo(R) Video R3.2
Intel Indeo Video 4.5
Intel IYUV-codec
Microsoft RLE
Microsoft Video 1
Microsoft H.263 Video Codec
Microsoft H.261 Video Codec
Indeo video 5.10
Microsoft MPEG-4 Video Codec
Microsoft Windows Media Video
Full Frames (not compressed)

Which one do I choose?

ok, theres a few ways to do it…heres an easy one:
-download and install "rad tools" (google it its free)
-download and install the "xvid codec" to make an avi
-run rad tools and open/highlight ur video
-hit the "convert" button
-"browse" to where you want the output file to be
- underneath where it says "scaling" put 496 for the width and 368 for the height…
-where it says "output type" at the top put "avi" then hit the "convert " button to the right of the window…
- a "video compressor" window will pop up…..use the dropdown list to choose "xvid" then……..
-hit the configure button—-without going into great details u can use that slider to adjust the quality and the size to ur liking….push it 3/4 of the way to the right for a pretty small filesize fair quality….then hit ok and ok…..
-redo until the size quality is what u want :)

I want to put videos on my iPod nano and I know you have to convert the video format to enable it to work, but I’m not sure which format. Does anyone else know?

You should make sure the video is MP4 or H2.64 video for iPod. I like the DVD to iPod Converter Suite to rip DVD movie and convert videos in any format to iPod. It is the fastest converter I have used. Also, the output quality is great. You can download this software free from here

Here is a step by step guide about converting DVD and any videos to iPod video mp4 format
